On November 7, a training session was held on the topic: “Sustainable Development Goals and Their Significance in the Field of Education” at Caucasus International University. The session was led by Maya Chubinidze, a PhD student at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and a member of the expert base of the Environmental Information and Education Center.

The training was organized by the Life-Long Learning and Career Development Service and the Human Resources Management Office. The event was for the university administrative staff and aimed to familiarize them with the essence of the Sustainable Development Goals.

“Today’s training was dedicated to environmental sustainability. The significance of education involvement was especially emphasized — how students, pupils, and society as a whole can contribute to achieving these goals. It was also noted how crucial it is for a teacher to accurately and correctly convey information that serves the purpose of environmental sustainability in the future,” stated Maya Chubinidze.

The aim of the training was to raise awareness among administrative staff about the inclusiveness and accessibility of education quality, as well as to strengthen their role in the university educational policy and development processes.
