Diplomatic Service and Career Levels
On November 4, the “Georgian Diplomacy Week” opened at Caucasus International University. The series of events, organized by the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences / Lifelong Education and Career Development Service, is dedicated to the Day of Georgian Diplomacy.
Grigol Magrakvelidze, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Management Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, delivered the first lecture of the week on the topic: “Diplomatic Service and Career Stages”.
The speaker introduced the audience to the functions and tasks of the diplomatic service, regulatory legislation, the structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, career stages in the diplomatic service, professional development and employment opportunities, and at the end of the meeting answered the audience’s questions.
Before the lecture, the speaker and the audience were welcomed by Ekaterine Chalaganidze, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of Caucasus International University, and Alika Guchua, Deputy Dean, Head of the Bachelor's Program in International Relations.
For your information, November 3 was established as the professional holiday of Georgian diplomats in 2004 and is associated with the birthday of the famous Georgian writer and public figure, Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani.
It is noteworthy that Caucasus International University annually celebrates Diplomats' Day with the "Georgian Diplomacy Week", which is filled with public lectures and various professional activities.
